The operational guidelines and service agreements for using 56 Logistics.
1. Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to 56 Logistics. By booking a service, requesting a quote, or using our website, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms and Conditions of Service. Please review these terms carefully before confirming any logistics or removal operation with our dispatch team.
If you do not agree to these terms, you should not use our services or website.
2. Service Provision & Bookings
We strive to provide industry-leading punctuality, but all collection and delivery times provided are estimates unless a guaranteed time-critical service has been explicitly booked and confirmed in writing.
- Quotes are valid for 14 days from the date of issue.
- We reserve the right to refuse service for jobs that pose a health and safety risk to our drivers or vehicles.
- Additional charges may apply if the volume or weight of goods significantly exceeds the details provided during the initial quote.
3. Goods in Transit & Liability
Your peace of mind is our priority. 56 Logistics operates with comprehensive Goods in Transit (GIT) protection.
- Insurance Coverage: Standard shipments are covered up to £50,000 under our GIT policy.
- Exclusions: We do not transport hazardous materials, illegal substances, live animals, or highly perishable goods without prior specialized arrangement.
- Claims: Any damage to goods must be reported to the driver upon delivery and followed up in writing to our support team within 48 hours.
4. Customer Responsibilities
To ensure a smooth and precise operational workflow, we require the following from our clients:
- Providing accurate collection and delivery addresses, including any difficult access points (e.g., stairs, narrow lanes).
- Ensuring all items are appropriately packed, boxed, and sealed prior to the arrival of our couriers, unless our "Professional Packing" service was booked.
- Ensuring an authorized person is available at both the collection and delivery points to sign for the goods.
5. Payment & Cancellations
Our payment terms are designed to be transparent and fair for both enterprise and individual clients:
- Payment must be cleared prior to dispatch unless you hold an active 30-day corporate credit account with 56 Logistics.
- Cancellations: Bookings canceled within 24 hours of the scheduled dispatch time may be subject to a 50% cancellation fee.
- Waiting Time: If our drivers are severely delayed at the collection or delivery point due to client unreadiness, waiting time fees may be applied at standard hourly rates.
